In January 2009, Sounding Joy started a new program, "Music For You", therapeutic musical instruction classes taught by certified music therapists. The classes are open for anyone, and cost $20 a lesson. People with special needs are also welcome. The prorgam differs from music therapy programs, because it requires the participants to exhibit basic skills to follow instructions and communicate with peers and instructors. It also aims at obtaining musical skills, sharing music with others, self-empowerment, maintaining wellness, and having a good time.
