Since March 1, 2008, our music therapy services to at-risk youths and needy families have expanded due to the grants awarded to us by Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) program, funded by the Department of Human Services.
As the second year of these services, Sounding Joy Music Therapy, Inc. plans to provide about 130 youths and young adults with special needs and about 22 families with music therapy fully funded through July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010. This year, "Positive Youth Development" service will become available on other Islands as well.
